THE SCHEME

Do you have what it takes?

Who are we looking for? We’re looking for eight bright, talented and focussed people to join us on our new Apprentice Scheme across our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and London.

How long is the scheme? The scheme will be a 2-year Advanced Apprenticeship Programme resulting in a nationally recognised BTEC qualification in Electronics and Telecommunication. You’ll also be put through extra BTEC accredited modules in telecoms so you’ll have a BTEC with an added specialism.

What's involved? The programme will be intense, exciting and rewarding for the right individual willing to apply themselves. But don’t worry, we’ll give you all the training, development, work shadowing and field-based work you need to succeed. You'll be working with the very latest Network and Data Telecomms hardware and software, responsible for the installation and maintenance of our International Network providing voice and data solutions to our corporate customer base. As part of your role you will be required to work or train away from home.

What happens afterwards? If you’re successful at college and meet the targets set by your manager, then there’s a guaranteed position as a Cable&Wireless Field Engineer at the end of it.

What qualifications do you need? All we ask is that you have a good standard of secondary/further education with GCSE grades C or above in Maths, Science and English preferred.
